Super photo. It was always interesting to see how WDs would work out as bankers, and they often had to stand in as the 9Fs were away being repaired. 90309, 90434, 90459, 90723 and numerous others were used. I wonder (Gordon) if you have the exact date of this shot as I’ m compiling a database of train movements on the line from the early 1950s?
